One of the easiest ways to start accumulating photos for your Instagram feed is definitely through food photos! You have to eat, so you might as well take a quick picture before you actually eat your meal!
If you only have a single focal food item, take a photo with your camera either positioned directly horizontal to it, or 45 degrees above your object.
Here, my transition colour would most likely be brown. Your café photo should be somehow connected to another photo that has brown in it.
If my café photo has a large patch of brown near the left/right edges, it should be situated next to another photo with a similar shade of brown. If my café photo has a bit of brown in the corners, the corners should be touching another photo with a similar shade of brown. Basically, the connecting colour acts as a transition and gently draws the viewer's eyes to the photos. Instead of being hit with a sudden slab of brown, the connecting colours will ease the viewer in, and your feed will look a lot more put together!
